No. SchoolSwipe is completely free to use. You only pay the transaction fee when you collect money from students or families.

Who pays the transaction fee — the school or the student?

That's up to you. You can absorb the fee or pass it on to the purchaser at checkout. You control this per-activity or for your whole school.

How does the processing fee work?

When you request a payout, there's a $2.50 processing fee for amounts under $1,000. Payouts of $1,000 or more are completely free.

Are payout requests required per activity/event or can I stack multiple events from various activities to a single payout request?

Yes! You can stack multiple events to one payout. Payouts can include funds received from various activities all broken down by activity and their events so you know exactly which activity receives what. This is the easiest way to reach the $1,000 threshold for fee-free payouts.

How do I receive my payout funds?

When your payout is approved, you choose how you'd like to receive your funds — via eCheck or ACH direct deposit. Processing is typically 3–5 business days.

Are there minimum amounts?

Yes — the minimum transaction amount is $0.50. The minimum payout request amount is $25.

How much do the card readers cost?

Depending on which card reader is chosen, pricing ranges from $50–$250 to purchase or $5–$15 a month to lease. Card readers will need to be registered to SchoolSwipe for transactions to process.
